They were all females, 6 months old and wild as When She Dips I Dip We Dip Shirt! They wanted nothing to do with me! Then a funny thing happened. Another homeless female cat (that was domesticated) showed up at my barn around the time when I was going to be releasing my 4 ferals. I was a bit hesitant to take on the fifth cat but I figured oh, what the heck right? I mean if I am going to have 4 then what’s one more? The domesticated cat was a blessing.

The other When She Dips I Dip We Dip Shirt around and looked at her as if she was crazy but they watched us and eventually (after about 4 months) came around. Well, all except one of them. That particular cat always stood back from the group and looked wary of me. A year went by with me never being able to touch that one.
She would follow me around and I would hold her and pet her. The 4 ferals got to see me interact with the domesticated cat. When I opened their cage one of the ferals immediately took off and moved into a neighbors barn.
